Helicopter Fleet Description:

KD offers Helicopter training for Private, Commercial and Add-on ratings. Private Pilot covers those who do not have a previous FAA private pilot certificate or better. The add on is for those students who already hold an FAA Private Pilot certificate (i.e. airplane etc).

The Bell 47G is also used for some of it's primary flight instruction and photography. The 47 goes back to the Korean war. It's used all over the word because of it's rugged construction and dependability. By training in two different type helicopters, the student is much better equipped to become a helicopter pilot.

The Schweizer 300C is used for some of it's primary flight instruction. Schweizer's model 300 is a versatile, dependable helicopter with an outstanding safety record. Used all over the world for tasks such as flight instruction, police and news coverage, tours, fire fighting and crop dusting.

The Bell-206 Jet Ranger is used as our Jet Turbine transition flight courses. This Helicopter is considered to be an advanced Helicopter  and has outstanding flight characteristics. We train, offer photography and sky rides. The 206 seats four passengers and a Pilot. In certain situations the 206 is used for mercy flights.
