Course Description:

KD offers ratings for the Commercial Helicopter Pilots License. Training is accomplished in the Bell-47, The Schweizer 300, or the Bell Ranger. Depending on presently held rating, the training is specificalley designed to your needs. Call the number below  to obtain the details you need. We offer Financing assistence.

FAA base requirements.

  • Obtain a Third Class Medical Certificate
  • Pass an FAA knowledge test
  • Obtain 40 hrs of helicopter flight time, 30 hrs duel, 10 hrs solo
  • Pass an FAA practical test.

FAA Aeronautical Requirements :

  • 100 hrs, of witch 50 hrs must be in a helicopter.
  • 100 hrs as PIC, 35 hrs in a helicopter, including 10 hrs xcountry.
  • 10 hrs instrument in an aircraft; 1 xcountry 2hrs day light >50 nautical miles.
  • 3 hrs prep for pratical test.
  • 10 hrs solo, one xcountry, of three points one at least 50 nautical miles.
  • 5 hrs night VFR,  10 take off & landings using the std traffic pattern.
