KDHelicopter Flight School offers several pilot training programs, one is the  Private Pilot License course. This is a complete training program which prepares a student to become a full Private Pilot. We also offer financial services to complete each course. Private Pilot

The private pilot certificate is a basic pilot license. It allows a pilot to fly a fixed wing powered airplane under visual flight rules. The private Pilot can take passengers with them as long as the flight is not for hire. The license is maintained as long as your medical is current, and you meet the normal proficiency standards.

Cost items for Private Pilot:

• 30 hrs dual, 10hrs solo.
• 3 hrs pre/post flight ride
• Textbooks, log book flight computer, and materials
• FAA knowledge test
• FAA medical exam.
• Practical test

• Rates for C172 or Pa28 Piper $140/Hr Duel $100 solo.
• Piper J3 or Aeronca $110/Hr duel, $80 solo.

F.A.A. Requirements:

• Obtain a Third Class Medical Certificate
• Pass the FAA knowledge test
• Obtain 40 hrs of fixed wing flight time, 30 hrs duel, 10 hrs solo
• Pass an FAA practical test
